Connie comes from a long line of musicians, including her grandfather, who played tuba in the Navy band during WWII, and her grandmother, who played piano for silent movies. Connie’s musical debut was 55 years ago, when she played a song on the piano for her kindergarten class. Since then she has been privileged to participate in a variety of musical experiences, including concert and jazz bands, pit orchestras, community bands and orchestras, barbershop choruses and quartets, church worship teams, and a Dixieland band.

She has taught elementary school band, directed a middle school jazz band, and taught private music students. In addition to singing with Ave Generosa, Connie currently plays clarinet with the Communiversity Band in Rice Lake, recorder/penny whistle with a Celtic music group, and sings with the Hayward Community Choir. She lives in Hayward with her husband, Rollie, and between them they have five children and ten grandchildren.
