Born in Jacksonville, Ill. and raised in Oak Park, Jeremy wandered his way to the Hayward area in 2003 after serving in the U.S. Navy. He cooked at many local supper clubs and restaurants until he found his true calling shaping the tummies and minds of 3 and 4 year olds, as the “cooker” (per his 4-year-old daughter) in Hayward’s Indianhead Community Action Agency Head Start program.

Jeremy’s music background started with singing harmony in the car with his mother and eventually took him all the way to Marian College in Indiana on a trombone scholarship. He joined the Hayward Community Choir’s Christmas Cantata in 2011 at the behest of his wife (and fellow singer), Victoria, and found his true Tenor voice, supported by his long-time knowledge of reading music and playing trombone in jazz ensembles and symphony orchestras.

Singing with the Ave Generosa ensemble is a new opportunity to develop his love of music and his voice in ways that a college trombone player would have never imagined.
